APG started the way most good lawn businesses do: one mower, a truck, and a handful of neighbors on Saundersville Road who wanted their grass cut properly and on time. The route grew west into Hendersonville and Nashville because customers kept passing the number along, and it still grows that way today.
The work itself is not complicated, but doing it consistently is. Sharp blades so the tips do not brown out. Deck height matched to the season instead of set once in March. Direction changed every visit so the turf stands up instead of laying over into ruts. Edges cut back to the concrete rather than trimmed near it. And every hard surface blown clean before the trailer gate goes up.
